International Rock Challenge event makes a triumphant return to Inverness
An international performing arts competition for schools and colleges which focuses on driving home positive messages about substance misuse and crime prevention was held at Eden Court last Friday (28 February 2014).   This is the fourth year that the Inverness area and Eden Court have staged the Rock Challenge® event which provides young people with an opportunity to experience the buzz of the performing arts and give them a ‘substance free high' from performing in a professional venue.

Celebration of music with Highland young musicians
Around 350 young musicians from across the Highlands are making final preparations for their annual showcase – a day long Concerts Festival in Inverness next Saturday (8 March 2014) which will feature eight different groups, a guest conductor from the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, and over 6 hours of live music.   Held in the Empire Theatre, Eden Court Theatre on Saturday 8 March, the event will blast off at 2.30pm with a special brass Festival Fanfare performed by musicians from the Highland Schools Wind Band and the Highland Regional Youth Orchestra.
