SCOTTISH OPERA IN COSÌ FAN TUTTE OCTOBER 15, 2015 OPERA *** Note this event takes place at Wick High School ***We are delighted to support Scottish Opera on tour by encouraging you to attend this performance of one of Mozart's best-loved operas, re-staged in 1950s Italy with a great cast and coming to Wick High School. It was founded by guitarist Elvis Stanic (Croatia) and Andrea Vicari (London) who will spend a week at Lyth working with bass-player Mario Caribe (Brazil), reed-player Fraser Fifield and drummer Alyn Cosker (both Scotland).

They perform a wide range of material from rock, pop, and funk as well as instrumental pieces in the style of gypsy jazz, bluegrass and classical.

14 May 2015 Lyth Arts Centre Elvis McGonagall one man & his doggerel Stand-up poet, armchair revolutionary and recumbent rocker, Elvis McGonagall is the sole resident of The Graceland Caravan Park somewhere in the middle of nowhere where he scribbles verse whilst drinking malt whisky and listening to Johnny Cash. Elvis is the 2006 World Slam Champion, the compere of the notorious Blue Suede Sporran Club and appears regularly on BBC Radio 4 and occasionally on the telly.

Lyth Arts Centre are pleased to announce the presentation of Verdi's MacBeth by Scottish Opera at Thurso High School. This brooding, atmospheric Macbeth returns in celebration of the 2014 Year of Homecoming.
Sax-player Brian is popular with Caithness jazz fans who have enjoyed his masterclasses. We are delighted to present his quartet to give a live performance of their new album CLOCK.
Lyth Arts Centre welcomes a group of aspiring young musicians who have been attending weekly "jam sessions" at Thurso Youth Club facilitated by Highlife Highland Youth Work staff and local musician Andy Williamson. Andy has been mentoring them while they try out cover versions of some of their favourite chart numbers and write, perform and record their own songs.
A welcome visit from one of Scotland's most revered theatre companies. They bring us a production of an excellent Canadian play by Michael Healey which has received considerable attention both in Canada and the UK since its debut in 1999.
